Thank You to All!

“The heART of Orange County All Media 2019” Juried Exhibit drew a crowd

With our whole heART, we thank you! From the zillions of guests attending, our 64 talented artists, TACFA’s outstanding volunteers, the support of Enderle Center, to our thoughtful judge, Barbara Thompson….we couldn’t ask for more!

The 99 piece exhibit is an interesting mix of style, subject, & medium representing many of the best artists in Orange County. With careful deliberation, Barbara selected her prize-winners in three categories: Contemporary Craft, Contemporary, and Traditional. Sharyn Cable of Enderle Center, one of our generous sponsors, also contributed “Enderle Choice” awards. Congratulations to all!

BTW, TACFA’s Broadway in the Park production will be “West Side Story”. We are hoping Rita Moreno will reprise her role!

If you couldn’t join us on Saturday here they are, the prize-winning artworks from The heART of Orange County All Media 2019″.

The heART of Orange County All Media 2019, Juried Exhibit

Artist reception April 27, 2019    5:30 – 8:00pm
show continues through May 11

Better & bigger every year! 64 Orange County artists & more than 90 works of art will grace our walls and display stands. This will be our 7th year partnering with Tustin Area Council for Fine Arts (TACFA), to bring you this unique annual juried exhibition.

The only show of its kind in Orange County, “The heART of Orange County” exhibit features 2-D wall art, as well as, contemporary craft including wood, ceramics, glass, fiber and jewelry.  A wide range of styles, subjects and media will be represented. Whether you lean to abstract or traditional works, you will likely find works of interest.  Everything is available for purchase. Help our arts community thrive!

This year’s juror is Barbara Thompson, MFA. She has been a respected artist, judge and coordinator in the fine art world for more than 25 years. Barbara has served as a juror for the San Diego County Fair Fine Art Photography Competition, as the Visual Arts Coordinator for the Orange County Fair for 16 years and as the Fine Art Coordinator for the California State Fair in 2017. Barbara was the Director as well as Exhibition Coordinator during her 12-year association with the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art where she oversaw both curated and juried exhibits. She now installs and curates exhibitions for the Orange County Agricultural and Nikkei Heritage Museum at the Fullerton Arboretum.

It all happens April 27th, 5:30 – 8:00pm at Chemers Gallery… artist reception, awards ceremony and, of course, TACFA’s Broadway in the Park REVEAL!

Be among the first to know which rousing Broadway production will be performed this summer in Tustin’s own Peppertree Park. Past productions include Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid. Now in its 19th year, TACFA’s annual Broadway in the Park event brings together community and professional performers from Chance Theater to enjoy an evening of visual magic under the stars.

Join us and more than 20 artists on Saturday, May 11th 1-5 pm to stroll the artist demonstrations as you soak-in the last day of the juried show. Pick up the work you purchased during the show or buy that one you’ve been eyeing for 2 long weeks before someone else snaps it up!
